About MCG Fees…
Fees for Interpretation: For most languages, interpreter fees are $50 per hour during business hours between 8am and 5pm. After 5pm, the fee increases to $60 per hour. On weekends, the fee is $70 per hour from 8-5 and $80 between 5pm and 7:59am.
Travel and Mileage Fees: Travel time and mileage will be added to the fee only when appointments are outside of Portland. Travel time is charged at the same rate as interpreter time. Mileage is $.50 per mile.
Cancellation Fees: The client will be charged in full for the appointment time at a rate of $50 per hour if notice of cancellation is not received 48 hours prior to the appointment time. If the appointment is cancelled after the interpreter has been confirmed but more than 48 hours prior, a $10 fee for services will be charged.
Fee for Changes in Appointments: Once interpreters have been confirmed, there will be a $10 surcharge for any changes made by the client in appointment time.
Fees for Translation: Translation fees will vary depending on the complexity and denseness of the document to be translated and the time given to complete the document.
Generally, the fee is approximately $3.00 per line but will increase if there is educational, medical, or legal terminology included in the document. A quote and completion date will be given before any translation project is accepted.
